The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, had a meeting with the President of Cyprus, Nikos Christodoulidis, and according to him, he is particularly interested in resolving the Kosovo issue.
“We explained to him and told him what the situation is; we delivered a package of measures that Serbia is undertaking,” Vučić told reporters.
He added that they also discussed Serbia’s path to the EU and bilateral cooperation in all areas.
“We talked about the joint use of our embassies in the African continent to ensure broader coverage.”
Furthermore, he mentioned that he had a serious conversation with the Kenyan president, whose visit to Belgrade is expected soon, which, he said, would bring Serbia increased engagement on the African continent.
Vučić also noted that he had a discussion with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
“We do not agree on everything regarding Kosovo, but we expect an important visit from him in the coming months, as we have many mutual interests, primarily economic, and we need to resolve all issues in a friendly spirit.”
“I believe we will succeed,” Vučić said.
