World Leaders Send Condolences to Canada After Car Plows Into Crowd

Several people have been killed and “many others” injured after a car drove into a crowd at a festival in Vancouver, according to Canadian police.

French President Emmanuel Macron said, “Following the tragedy in Vancouver, I express our solidarity with Canadians and the Filipino community.”

The United Kingdom’s Foreign Secretary, David Lammy, said he was shocked and deeply saddened by the incident. “Our thoughts are with everyone affected, their families, and loved ones.”

Ukraine’s Foreign Minister, Andriy Sybiha, also sent his condolences to the Canadian people. “In Ukraine, we understand the pain of loss. Our hearts go out to the loved ones of the victims.”

The Czech Republic’s Foreign Minister, Jan Lipavský, stated that the country “strongly condemns this horrific act of violence,” according to the BBC.
