Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky strongly condemned Russia following a missile strike on Kyiv that hit a residential apartment building, killing 24 people, including three children.

According to Ukrainian authorities, rescue teams have completed search operations in the destroyed building, which was struck during what has been described as the deadliest air attack on the capital this year.

Zelensky called for Moscow to be held accountable for the attack, emphasizing that emergency crews worked continuously for more than a day at the scene.

“The Russians practically destroyed an entire section of the building with their missile,” Zelensky said during a visit to the attack site in Kyiv’s Darnytskyi district.

Ukrainian authorities said investigations and additional operations on the ground are continuing.
