Throughout the day, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky held several discussions with Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi regarding the situation on the front lines, particularly in the Kurakhove and Pokrovsk sectors, as well as in Russia’s Kursk region.
The head of state announced this in his video message.
“Today, almost the entire day was focused on military matters. There was a report from Commander Syrskyi—a long conversation in the morning, and just now, we spoke again to review the day’s results,” Zelensky said.
According to the Ukrainian president, over a hundred battles have taken place on the front since the beginning of the day, with the most intense fighting in the Kurakhove and Pokrovsk sectors, where Ukrainian forces are defending their positions.
“We also reviewed the Kursk operation in detail, and every day we act exactly as planned,” Zelensky emphasized.
He expressed his gratitude to every brigade and unit for their coordinated actions and resilience.
Additionally, he announced that he had signed several decrees awarding state honors to Ukrainian fighters, particularly those involved in the Kursk operation.
According to Ukrinform, a total of 99 battles have taken place along the front lines throughout the day, with fighting still ongoing in seven directions, and the most tense situation remains in the Kurakhove sector.
