The 20th protest against Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama was held in Tirana on Friday, with citizens gathering from the early hours of the day to take part in the demonstration.
The main rally took place at Skanderbeg Square, where protesters assembled before beginning a march toward the Prime Minister’s Office. Following a series of speeches, participants continued their march through several of the capital’s main streets.
Organizers stated that the protest drew a large turnout, describing it as one of the biggest demonstrations held so far. Similar protests were also reported in other Albanian cities, including Vlore, Durres, Shkoder, Korce, and Fier.
Demonstrations were also reported among Albanian communities abroad. The protesters’ main demands remain the resignation of the government and broader political change, including the departure of the current political leadership.
