Albanian Defense Minister Pirro Vengu held a trilateral meeting with his counterparts from Kosovo, Ejup Maqedonci, and Croatia, Ivan Anušić, during the Munich Security Conference, focusing on advancing collective security in the region.
According to the Albanian Ministry of Defense, the meeting aimed to deepen discussions on joint projects designed to strengthen collective security and improve interoperability among the three countries.
The ministers discussed next steps in defense cooperation, development of military capabilities, and the advancement of the defense industry, describing the coordination as a key factor for long-term peace, stability, and security in the Western Balkans.
This trilateral cooperation represents a shared effort to enhance strategic partnership and readiness in facing security challenges, the ministry said.
The meeting builds on the March 18, 2025, defense agreement between Kosovo, Albania, and Croatia, which includes dozens of provisions covering military cooperation, as well as investments in ammunition and defense equipment.
