Following the visit of Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama, President of Albania, Bajram Begaj, will also be in Kosovo for an official state visit on 16–17 February 2026.
The Kosovo Police announced that they will provide full security for the President throughout his stay. Measures include traffic regulation, escort security, and ensuring public order and safety during all official activities.
“On 16 and 17 February 2026, President Bajram Begaj will be in the Republic of Kosovo. The Kosovo Police will ensure the safety of the delegation and regulate traffic during the movement of the escort and official events. Temporary traffic interruptions may occur on certain road segments, with possible rerouting to alternative routes. We ask for full understanding from citizens and road users,” the police statement read.
President Begaj will arrive in the afternoon of 16 February at the Vërmicë border crossing, with the official program continuing until his departure on the evening of 17 February.
