A solemn commemorative walk titled “Stars That Never Grew Up” was held in the main square of Prishtina to mark the 18th anniversary of Kosovo’s independence, honoring the memory of children killed during the country’s war.
The tribute was dedicated to 1,432 children from Kosovo who lost their lives during the last war, symbolizing lives and futures cut short by the conflict. The memorial event carried strong emotional significance, serving as a reminder of the human cost of war and the importance of preserving historical memory.
The commemorative walk was organized and performed by students from the British School of Kosova, who participated dressed in the colors of Kosovo’s national flag. Their symbolic presentation aimed to honor the young victims and reflect on the sacrifices that contributed to the country’s path to independence.
The event formed part of broader celebrations and remembrance activities marking Kosovo’s independence anniversary, combining reflection, education, and tribute to those who suffered during the conflict.
