The Israeli Ambassador to Croatia, Gary Koren, spoke today about the ongoing conflict involving the United States and Israel against Iran, warning that Southeastern Europe could also be exposed to the threat of Iranian missiles.

In an interview with HRT, Koren stated that the previous night had been calm in Israel, which he said indicates effective work against ballistic missile capabilities.

“There are many more missiles than launchers, which is the top priority of the Israeli military. We have established air superiority over Tehran and western Iran. We continue efforts to strike targets of that fanatical and radical regime,” Koren said.

He added that the greatest achievement occurred at the beginning of the operation, claiming that Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and 40 senior generals and officials of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps were successfully eliminated.

Koren expressed gratitude to Donald Trump and the United States, emphasizing what he described as excellent political and military cooperation. According to him, Israel respected the White House’s proposal to give diplomacy a chance before military escalation.

When asked why Iran allegedly attacked its neighbors in the Middle East, Koren responded that this demonstrates the danger posed by the regime — not only to its own people but also to surrounding countries.

“Iran wants to exert much greater pressure on the U.S. to stop the operations. They are counting on the attacked countries to ask Trump to halt them,” he said.

Koren further stated that Western intelligence services believe Iran possesses a sufficient number of missiles with a range of at least 2,000 kilometers.

“If a missile launch range is calculated from western Iran, it becomes clear that all of Southeastern Europe is exposed to the threat,” he emphasized, adding that Israel does not seek to create panic in Europe.
