Ulutaş Meets Greek General, KFOR Praises Greece’s Contribution and Reaffirms Security in Kosovo

The commander of the NATO-led KFOR mission, Major General Özkan Ulutaş, hosted an official meeting in Pristina with Major General Alexandros Koufopoulos, commander of the 2nd Mechanized Infantry Division of the Greek Armed Forces.

The meeting took place at KFOR headquarters in Camp Film City and focused on the current security situation in the region. During the discussions, Ulutaş reaffirmed KFOR’s commitment to ensuring a safe and secure environment for all citizens in Kosovo, acting in an impartial and transparent manner.

On this occasion, he expressed deep appreciation for Greece’s continuous and valuable contribution to the KFOR mission over the years.

“KFOR continues to implement its mandate based on the United Nations Security Council Resolution 1244, with the aim of ensuring a safe and secure environment and guaranteeing freedom of movement for all citizens in Kosovo. In fulfilling this mission, KFOR works closely with the Kosovo Police and EULEX, coordinating actions according to their respective roles and responsibilities as security responders in the country,” the statement said.
