Albanian police have discovered an apartment on Jargavani Street in Tirana allegedly used to store smuggled pyrotechnic materials and arrested a 24-year-old man.

During the search, officers seized 344 boxes of various pyrotechnic products with an estimated value of €40,000.

According to police, the suspect allegedly supplied the materials to masked and violent individuals during protests over the past three days.

The investigation is ongoing to identify other people suspected of involvement and fully document the alleged illegal activity. The case has been referred to the Tirana Prosecutor’s Office for further action.

The arrest followed an operation codenamed “Fireworks,” launched after police received information about the storage of large quantities of pyrotechnic materials allegedly intended for unlawful use.
