Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, hosted a meeting with Charlotte Hallengren, Director for Operations at NATO.

According to a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office, Kurti expressed gratitude for NATO’s continued commitment to peace, security, and stability, as well as for the important role played by the NATO Advisory and Liaison Team (NALT) in supporting Kosovo’s Ministry of Defense.

As part of efforts to deepen cooperation, Kurti highlighted opportunities for members of the Kosovo Security Force to participate in educational and professional military training within NATO institutions. He also emphasized the importance of further strengthening FSK capacities in line with NATO standards.

Kurti noted that the Kosovo Security Force has demonstrated strong performance in international missions, including joint deployments in Kuwait, Belize, the Falkland Islands, and Turkey. He added that preparations are currently underway for a mission in Gaza, as part of an international stabilization force. He also mentioned ongoing training programs for Ukrainian personnel in demining and search-and-rescue operations.

Reaffirming Kosovo’s strategic direction, Kurti stressed that the country remains determined and fully committed to its path toward NATO integration.

Hallengren, in turn, thanked Kurti for the close cooperation and coordination, and praised the decision to engage the FSK in the stabilization mission in Gaza.
