In another post on Truth Social, U.S. President Donald Trump stated that Iranian “leaders” will soon enter negotiations with his “representatives” apparently referring to Vice President JD Vance, special envoy Steve Witkoff, and his son-in-law Jared Kushner.

Alongside his post, which referenced unverified reports claiming that Iran was planning to execute eight women, Trump urged their release, writing: “I would greatly appreciate the release of these women. I am sure they will respect the fact that you did this. Please do not harm them! It would be an excellent start to our negotiations!!!”

Iranian officials have not publicly confirmed that a delegation will participate in a new round of peace talks. However, according to Associated Press, JD Vance and Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf are expected to arrive in Islamabad tomorrow morning to lead their respective negotiation teams.

Earlier, Ghalibaf warned that Tehran is preparing “new cards on the battlefield” if the conflict with the U.S. resumes after the current ceasefire expires tomorrow. Trump, for his part, has expressed reluctance to extend the truce.
