At least two people have been killed and eight others injured following a Russian strike on the city of Dnipro, in central Ukraine, during the early hours of the morning.

Local authorities reported that one person remains missing, while emergency teams continue search and rescue operations at the site of the attack.

Regional governor Oleksandr Khanza said in a Telegram post that two of the injured are minors, aged 9 and 14, further highlighting the human toll of the strike.

The attack adds to ongoing hostilities amid the broader conflict between Russia and Ukraine, with civilian areas continuing to be affected.
