At the Ozis training ground in Poland, the military exercise “Amber Shock 2026” has begun, involving around 3,500 troops from several NATO member states, including the United States.

“Several hundred pieces of military equipment will be used during the maneuvers. The exercises will last until Friday and will conclude with live-fire drills. During the exercises, participants will carry out tactical and fire tasks, enhancing cooperation and demonstrating the unity and credibility of NATO members in fulfilling their shared security commitments,” said Dariusz Guzenda, spokesperson for the Multinational Division Northeast, according to the Polish Press Agency.

The “Amber Shock” drills are part of the broader “Sabre Strike 26” military exercises taking place across Poland, Lithuania, and Finland.

Russia has repeatedly expressed concern over the increased NATO presence in Europe.

Russia’s Foreign Ministry stated that Moscow remains open to dialogue with NATO, but on equal terms, adding that the West should abandon what it described as a “policy of militarizing the continent.”
