The organization Albanians For America has expressed gratitude to the United States Department of State following reports that the institution has forwarded to the U.S. Congress authorization for the export of defense articles and military services to Kosovo worth more than $14 million.
According to the organization, the move represents “a clear message of trust toward our state and security institutions.”
“The submission for review to the U.S. Senate Foreign Relations Committee demonstrates institutional seriousness and the bipartisan support Kosovo enjoys in Washington,” the statement said.
The organization highlighted continued U.S. support for Kosovo’s defense sector, including Humvees, ASVs, drones, modern defense systems, and assistance in transforming the Kosovo Security Force into a professional military force aligned with NATO standards.
“From Humvees, ASVs, drones and modern defense systems, to support for transforming the FSK into a professional military worthy of NATO, the United States has always stood with Kosovo in decisive moments,” the statement added.
Albanians For America also emphasized Kosovo’s growing international security role, mentioning the participation of the FSK in international missions and preparations for involvement in the stabilization force in Gaza.
The organization expressed deep appreciation to the U.S. State Department, the United States Congress, the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, and all American institutions that continue supporting Kosovo in strengthening its security, sovereignty, and Euro-Atlantic path.
According to the statement, American support for Kosovo remains one of the key pillars of peace, stability, and democracy in the region.
“Albanians For America remains committed to strengthening Kosovo–U.S. relations and supporting every step that brings Kosovo closer to NATO and the Euro-Atlantic family. Our friendship with America is an alliance of politics, values, freedom, and belief in the future,” the organization stated.
