US President Donald Trump stated that Iran is “desperate to make a deal” during the swearing-in ceremony of the new Federal Reserve chair at the White House, where he also addressed international relations and recent global developments.
Referring to his recent visit to China, Trump said he told President Xi Jinping that the United States has “the greatest military in the world,” claiming that the Chinese leader did not object.
“You see what we’ve done to Iran? Iran is dying to make a deal,” Trump said.
“We will see what happens, but we hit them hard and we had no choice because Iran cannot have nuclear weapons — it simply cannot have them,” he added.
