At least 12 people were injured after two trams collided in the German city of Hanover, according to local authorities. The accident is believed to have been caused by a signaling system malfunction.
Police said the injured, aged between 15 and 87, suffered minor injuries. One of the trams managed to stop immediately at the “Allerweg” station, allowing passengers to evacuate safely.
Emergency services quickly arrived at the scene to assist passengers and provide medical treatment to the injured.
Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the full circumstances and exact cause of the collision.
