Sweden has announced its sixteenth military aid package for Ukraine, the largest package for Ukraine worth 1.16 billion euros.
The Swedish government announced that the package will allow Ukraine to strengthen its air defense and meet its priority needs.
As part of this package, Sweden will deliver ASC-890 surveillance and control aircraft.
These aircraft will provide Ukraine with “an entirely new capability against air and sea targets” and strengthen its ability to strike targets.
The planes will also be equipped with training and technical equipment.
Sweden will also hand over the entire Swedish stock of 302 armored personnel carriers, to support the development of new brigades of Ukrainian forces.
The package also includes RB 99-AMRAAM missiles, which can be used on aircraft and ground-based air defense systems and artillery munitions.
The 16th military support package also includes various transport vehicles, which are redundant in the Swedish Armed Forces, together with financial support for force coalitions and assets and financial support for temporary funds and initiatives that make it possible quick purchase of equipment for Ukraine.
