Anu Prattipati, the Chargé d’Affaires at the U.S. Embassy in Kosovo, delivered a speech at the celebration marking the 250th anniversary of the United States, highlighting key issues including energy, investment, and bilateral cooperation.
Prattipati stressed that as Kosovo continues to develop and deepen its integration into the international community, opportunities for cooperation in defense, trade, economic investment, and energy are “limitless.”
“As Kosovo continues to develop and deepen its integration into the international community, the opportunities for cooperation particularly in defense, trade, economic investment, and energy are limitless. American businesses are looking for reliable partners, a skilled workforce, and competitive markets. Kosovo has the potential to be all three,” she said.
She also emphasized the enduring partnership between the United States and Kosovo, noting that Kosovo has consistently supported U.S. priorities and that Washington remains committed to Kosovo’s future.
“Kosovo has always stood with the United States, supporting our priorities and contributing to the International Stabilization Force and the Peace Board. Likewise, the United States stands with Kosovo. We stand with Kosovo in its efforts to build strong institutions and a prosperous economy that attracts investors and creates opportunities for all its citizens,” Prattipati added.
Addressing Kosovo’s younger generation, Prattipati described them as the “architects of tomorrow,” encouraging them to embrace innovation, adaptability, and leadership.
“I also want to speak directly to the young people of Kosovo. You are the architects of tomorrow. The future will belong to those who can adapt, innovate, and lead in a rapidly changing world. Kosovo’s greatest resource is the talent, energy, and ambition of its youth.”
She concluded by emphasizing that a stable, democratic, and prosperous Kosovo benefits not only its own people but also Europe and the wider world.
“Because a stable, democratic, and prosperous Kosovo is not only good for the people of Kosovo—it is good for Europe and good for the world.”
