Kosovo Assembly to Hold Cross-Party Meeting Ahead of Constitutive Session

The Assembly of Kosovo has announced that Acting President Albulena Haxhiu will meet with the leaders of political parties on Friday as preparations continue for the constitutive session of the country’s 11th legislature.

According to an official announcement from the Assembly, the meeting will focus on coordinating preparations for the inaugural parliamentary session.

“On Friday, July 31, the Speaker of the Assembly, Albulena Haxhiu, will hold a joint meeting with the leaders of the political parties. Agenda: Preparations for the Constitutive Session of the 11th Legislature of the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo,” the statement said.

The meetings are scheduled to begin at 11:00 a.m. in one of the Assembly’s conference halls.

The consultations come as Kosovo’s political parties continue efforts to overcome the institutional deadlock and advance the constitution of the new legislature following the parliamentary elections.
