Demolition work has started at the “Jezero” motel located in the Ujman area, following an action carried out by the public company “Ibër-Lepenci” with the assistance of the Kosovo Police.

Earlier on Thursday morning, employees of “Ibër-Lepenci” surrounded the facility with security tape before beginning the intervention. Deputy Director of the Kosovo Police for the northern region, Veton Elshani, confirmed that police officers were assisting the operation, which is being carried out in coordination with relevant institutions.

The action follows the expiration of the deadline set by “Ibër-Lepenci” for the users of the facility to vacate the property. The company claims that the land and the motel belong to it and that the property has been illegally occupied.

The intervention at Ujman comes amid ongoing efforts by Kosovo institutions to address disputes over public property and illegal use of state-owned assets.
