Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk said today that a Russian missile entered Polish airspace during a missile attack targeting western Ukraine.
In a statement on X, Tusk said he had convened a coordination team involving the Minister of Defense and relevant security services, which had been working on the ground for hours to establish all circumstances surrounding the incident.
According to Tusk, the object that fell overnight on agricultural land in eastern Poland was most likely a Russian missile.
“Everything indicates that it was a Russian H-101 ballistic missile, but we want to be absolutely certain about the type of missile and who launched it,” Tusk said during an emergency meeting.
The investigation remains ongoing as Polish authorities continue gathering evidence and verifying the details of the incident.
