Turkish woman convicted over alleged terrorist organization links appears before Tirana Criminal Court after arrest in Sarandë

A 32-year-old Turkish woman, Julide Yazici, appeared today before the Criminal Court in Tirana after being convicted in Turkey on charges related to links with a terrorist organization.

According to journalist Anila Hoxha of Top Channel, the woman, who works as a teacher, is suspected of providing logistical support to a terrorist organization and participating in its activities. She was arrested in Albania at the request of Turkish authorities as a wanted person.

Yazici has reportedly been sentenced to four years in prison for these offenses, with three years, five months, and 22 days of the sentence still remaining.

She was arrested for extradition purposes at Rinas Airport while traveling from France to Albania. Border checks confirmed that she was wanted by Interpol Ankara.
