Kosovo’s Special Prosecution Office has released footage showing the arrest of J.R., the latest suspect detained in connection with alleged war crimes.
According to the prosecution, the Basic Court in Prishtina ordered the suspect to be held in pretrial detention for one month on August 3.
“Footage from the arrest of the latest war crimes suspect, J.R., for whom the Basic Court in Prishtina ordered one month of detention on August 3,” the Special Prosecution Office said in a statement.
The prosecution and the Kosovo Police said they remain committed to investigating war crimes cases and bringing all individuals suspected of involvement to justice.
The arrest comes amid ongoing investigations into alleged war crimes committed during the 1998–1999 Kosovo war.
