Kosovo’s caretaker Prime Minister Albin Kurti has said that identifying human remains discovered in Kalludër, Zubin Potok, could take several months as authorities carry out the necessary forensic procedures.
Kurti said the remains must undergo detailed analysis and the required procedures to establish the identities of the individuals.
“Identification of human remains takes time, even several months,” Kurti said.
He explained that the process requires time because of the forensic and investigative procedures that must be completed, while investigations into the circumstances surrounding the discovery are continuing.
The remains were discovered in the Kalludër area of Zubin Potok, where authorities are continuing efforts to establish their identity and determine the circumstances surrounding their presence at the site.
