The “Red and Black” (Kuq e Zi) fan group has announced its support for the “March for Freedom”, which will be held on Saturday at Skënderbeu Square in Prishtina, beginning at 2:00 p.m., in support of former leaders of the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA).
In a statement published on their official Facebook page, “Kuq e Zi” said they will join the march, emphasizing that their participation is aimed at defending the values of Kosovo’s liberation war.
“The liberators will return home, because they are our heroes!” the fan group wrote.
They said they would take part in the march in defense of the values of the liberation struggle, describing their participation as a stand for “our history, for their sacrifice, and for the values upon which our freedom was built.”
At the same time, “Kuq e Zi” called on Albanians to join the march at Skënderbeu Square in Prishtina.
The “March for Freedom” will take place four days before September 16, when the Trial Panel of the Kosovo Specialist Chambers is expected to deliver its verdict in the case against former KLA leaders Hashim Thaçi, Kadri Veseli, Jakup Krasniqi and Rexhep Selimi.
