The European Commission confirmed during Friday’s press briefing that President Ursula von der Leyen will embark on a tour of the Western Balkans.
On Friday, she will travel to Skopje, where she will meet with North Macedonia’s President Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova and Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski. Before that, von der Leyen will visit Albania, Kosovo and Montenegro.
“On Wednesday, following the meeting of the College of Commissioners, the President will begin her visit to the Western Balkans. She will first travel to Tirana, Albania, where she will meet with President Bajram Begaj and Prime Minister Edi Rama.
“On Thursday, the President will continue her visit to the region in Pristina, Kosovo, where she will meet with Acting President Albulena Haxhiu and Prime Minister Albin Kurti. She will then travel to Podgorica, Montenegro, where she will meet with President Jakov Milatović and Prime Minister Milojko Spajić.
“Then, on Friday, she will be in Skopje, North Macedonia, where she will meet with President Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova and Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski,” said Olof Gill, spokesperson for the European Commission.
