The Emergency Management Agency (EMA), operating under the Ministry of Internal Affairs, has delivered three new firefighting vehicles to the Professional Fire and Rescue Units in Lipjan, Shtime and Drenas.
The handover ceremony was held at the EMA premises in Hajvalia, where the vehicles and the investment in strengthening local emergency response capacities were presented.
Acting Executive Director of the EMA, Shefki Abdullahu, said the investment aims to improve public safety and strengthen the protection of firefighters.
Lipjan received a fire attack vehicle with a capacity of 4,000 liters of water and 400 liters of foam concentrate, valued at €673,148.
Shtime and Drenas each received a water supply vehicle with a capacity of 6,000 liters of water and 600 liters of foam concentrate. Each vehicle is valued at €553,449.
The total value of the three vehicles amounts to €1,780,046.
First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Enver Dugolli also attended the handover ceremony. He said emergency response must remain an institutional priority and that investments in this area will continue.
The vehicles have now been delivered to the respective units in Lipjan, Shtime and Drenas, with the aim of improving their response to fires and other emergencies.
