The European Union in Kosovo has welcomed the Assembly’s approval, in its second reading, of the Law on the Prevention of Money Laundering, describing it as another step towards Kosovo’s membership in the Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA).
“By approving the Law on the Prevention of Money Laundering in its second reading yesterday, Kosovo has taken another step towards joining the Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA) and gradually integrating into the EU Single Market,” said EU Ambassador to Kosovo Dirk Schuebel.
“This is good news! Once Kosovo joins SEPA, payments and money transfers to and from SEPA countries will become easier, faster and cheaper, saving businesses and citizens both time and money.”
