After students and university lecturers repeatedly refused to sit down for talks with him, Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama has changed the way he addresses the protesters.
One day after young demonstrators broke the chairs placed outside the Prime Minister’s Office as a symbol of his invitation to dialogue and threw them towards the building’s entrance, the head of government has renewed his call for discussions this time using the symbolism of “stones.”
He placed several stones outside the Prime Minister’s Office, with pieces of paper bearing the word “dialogue” placed on top of them.
A day earlier, protesters gathered outside the government building and once again rejected Rama’s invitation to dialogue. They broke the chairs placed in front of the building and threw them towards the entrance, reiterating that they would not negotiate with the head of government.
