Kosovo Police have launched an operation at several locations in northern Kosovo as part of efforts to combat the smuggling of goods.
According to the Mitrovica North Regional Police Directorate, the operation is taking place today, October 22, 2026, in cooperation with Kosovo Customs, the Tax Administration of Kosovo (TAK), and other relevant institutions.
In a statement, the police said the operation is ongoing and aimed at tackling the smuggling of goods.
“Further details regarding the operation will be provided to the public in due course during the day,” the statement said.
Authorities have not yet disclosed the specific locations involved, whether any arrests have been made, or what goods may be under investigation. Further information is expected as the operation progresses.
