The new ministerial meeting of the EU and the Western Balkans will be held on Monday in Luxembourg, on the sidelines of the Council of Foreign Affairs of the European Union (EU).
“After the internal talks within the Council of Foreign Affairs, the ministers of the EU member states will be joined by the partners from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia and Kosovo, to exchange opinions on the Western Balkans,” was announced by the Council of the EU.
According to N1, the arrival has been confirmed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Montenegro, Filip Ivanovic, that of Serbia, Marko Djuric, and that of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Elvedin Konakovic, and the arrival of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of North Macedonia, Bujar Osmani, is also expected. In addition to the review of the situation, it is expected that the meeting will confirm that Montenegro has fulfilled the transitional criteria within the negotiation chapters 23 (on justice and fundamental rights) and 24 (on justice, freedom and security) and is ready to start closing the negotiation chapters where the reforms have been completed.
