Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti has reacted to the Assembly’s approval, in the second reading, of the Law on the Bureau for the Verification and Confiscation of Unjustified Assets.

Kurti thanked the MPs who voted in favour of the legislation, noting that the law had previously been referred to the Constitutional Court on two occasions.

“The Law on the Bureau for the Verification and Confiscation of Unjustified Assets was referred to the Constitutional Court twice after being passed by the Assembly of our Republic. The first time was in February 2023, and the second in December 2024.

Today, it passed once again in the second reading in the Assembly, for which I thank the MPs for voting in favour of this law.

They delayed us for more than three and a half years, but they will not stop us from pursuing our just and long-awaited goal: ensuring that wealth in our Republic is acquired fairly, transparently and in accordance with declared income,” Kurti wrote.
