The repeat parliamentary vote held at 53 polling stations across Serbia has changed the projected distribution of seats in the National Assembly, with the list led by Usame Zukorlić entering parliament and the Student List losing one mandate, election monitoring organization CRTA announced.

According to CRTA’s latest figures, the list “Usame Zukorlić (SPP) – Movement for Unification” secured one parliamentary seat, while the “Student List – Students Are Winning” will hold 140 seats, one fewer than previously projected by the Republic Electoral Commission (RIK).

The list “Aleksandar Vučić – United Serbia” is projected to have 103 seats.

Two mandates each are allocated to the following lists:

  • Alliance of Vojvodina Hungarians – Dr. Balint Pastor
  • Albanian Coalition
  • Rasim Ljajić – European People’s Party (SDP-CDP)
  • SDA Sandžak – Guardians of Sandžak

CRTA said Zukorlić’s list secured its parliamentary seat by a margin of just 12 votes.

“Given that only 12 votes determined whether Zukorlić’s list would win a mandate, the reported cases of vote-buying in favor of that list are particularly concerning,” the organization said.

CRTA had previously reported irregularities during the repeat voting, including alleged vote-buying, attempts to influence voters and the use of parallel voter records.

Voter turnout at the 53 polling stations was 44.9 percent, according to the figures released after voting concluded.

The revised distribution remains subject to the official electoral process and confirmation by the relevant authorities.
