Kosovo’s Minister of Finance, Hekuran Murati, has announced that a separate budget code has been created within the capital investment framework for the organisation of the 2030 Mediterranean Games.
Following a government meeting at which the Draft Law on the 2027 Budget was approved, Murati explained that the code would cover all projects related to organising the sporting event.
He said the main projects had already been identified, but more detailed studies were needed to determine their exact costs.
According to Murati, funding for specific projects will be allocated on an ongoing basis through government decisions, in line with the master plan and the bid book.
Meanwhile, speaking about the Pristina Ring Road project, Murati said the necessary studies must first be completed to determine its overall cost.
He stressed that the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport should provide more detailed information about the project, its plans and its cost.
