Swiss Foreign Minister Ignazio Cassis has said that Switzerland supports international courts and accepts their rulings, stressing that judicial decisions should not become subjects of political debate.

Speaking to reporters in Prishtina on Thursday, Cassis said Switzerland’s position on questions concerning international court judgments was consistent worldwide.

“I can give you the usual answer to questions of this kind, wherever in the world. Switzerland stands by international courts and accepts the decisions of international courts and of the various courts that are authorized to issue such rulings. We do not comment on them because they are judicial decisions, not matters for political discussion,” Cassis said, according to Ekonomia Online.

His remarks came in response to a question about the recent verdict delivered by the Kosovo Specialist Chambers in The Hague.
