Security expert Arben Dashevci urges that statements be taken seriously.

“The statement of Prime Minister Konjufca is correct and should be taken seriously; there is no doubt about this because this institution, just like the Prime Minister and the President, acknowledges credible intelligence from the national security institution AKI. This information is collected, processed, analyzed, and turned into intelligence, which is swiftly and accurately delivered to important organs of the country,” declares Dashevci.

Asked about Serbia’s “audacity” to engage in war with NATO, as any potential attack in Kosovo would be an attack against NATO, Dashevci says that Serbia does not have this audacity but is continuing with hybrid warfare.

“Serbia does not have the audacity to act on the scale of September 24, 2024; there are many facts supporting this, and the most important fact is the statement by U.S. Under Secretary for Europe and Asia James O’ Brien, clearly stating ‘NO’ in Kosovo and Bosnia. KFOR’s third responder has quintupled the number of soldiers, while our institutions are ready for action with maximum vigilance 24/7 and full capacity, which Serbia is well aware of, and in my opinion, it is a continuation of hybrid warfare/special propaganda warfare for Serbia to maintain tension,” emphasizes the expert.

If Serbia attempts to attack through terrorist groups as on September 24, according to Dashevci, it would fare much worse internationally and would be the political end of Vučić.

“Therefore, in my opinion, Serbia doesn’t even dare to consider war with NATO, as it would end as it did in 1999. If it attempts to attack us through terrorist groups as on September 24, it would escalate much worse internationally and would be the political end of Vučić because it is no longer tolerated but rather confronted by our institutions and allies, namely NATO, who care for all citizens of the Republic of Kosovo equally,” asserts the expert.

He adds that the democratic world must not allow a repeat of another Banjska.

“These are serious threats, and in the continuation of hybrid warfare, there is no doubt about that, but there is unprecedented vigilance from our institutions, which have full capacity to act against any threat posed by Serbia through joint interaction and full cooperation with allies, our international friends. Ultimately, in my opinion, the democratic world must never allow a repeat of another Banjska,” concludes Dashevci.
