On the 29th anniversary of the genocide in Srebrenica, the Minister of Defense, Ejup Maqedonci, said that this event is the most serious genocide in Europe after the end of the Second World War and “has the same cause, destabilizing factor in the Balkans as now, the followers of the genocidal regime of Slobodan Milosevic”.

Maqedonci said that “the real perpetrators of the crimes, as well as in the case of the war in Kosovo, continue to remain free”.

“The number of those convicted does not even come close to the number of criminals responsible for the massacres.”

“Srebrenica and Reçaku are not forgotten. The dead are a reminder of human cruelty that can never be forgotten. Crimes remain crimes, they don’t get old. Criminals must be brought to justice!”
