An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.1 on the Richter scale was registered today to the west of Neiafu – Tonga, in the Pacific Ocean, according to the European-Mediterranean Seismological Center.
Its depth reached up to 235.6 kilometers below the epicenter near Neiafu, Vava’u, Tonga, at 04:03 local time.
Tremors were felt in Neiafu, with a population of 4,300 inhabitants. There are no reports of casualties, damages, or tsunami warnings.
