The Kosovo Police announced on January 24, 2025, that they received a significant donation of equipment for field operations from the British Embassy. The donation is expected to improve efficiency and professionalism in border and law enforcement activities.

Donation Details

The donation, specifically allocated to the Department for Border Management, includes:

  • 1 X-ray detection scanner valued at €37,749.
  • 2 smuggling detectors (Buster) worth €4,963.75.
  • 68 handheld flashlights.
  • 75 document magnifiers.
  • 280 1.5-volt batteries for document magnifiers.
  • 100 additional document magnifiers.

Remarks from Kosovo Police

During the handover ceremony, the Director of the Border Department expressed gratitude to the British Embassy for its continuous support. Over the years, the Embassy has provided sophisticated electronic equipment and organized specialized training sessions to enhance operational capabilities.

“The donation and training have significantly contributed to the increased professionalism and effectiveness of the Kosovo Police,” stated the department’s leadership.
