Sali Berisha Congratulates Kosovo Election Winner, Calls Voting Process an “Inspiring Model”

Former Albanian Prime Minister Sali Berisha has praised Kosovo’s parliamentary elections, calling the voting process a “model of inspiration.” His statement comes after the February 9 elections, where 28 political entities and one independent candidate competed.

Kosovo’s electoral commission reported a turnout of around 40%, with preliminary results based on 99.17% of the vote count showing Lëvizja Vetëvendosje (LVV) securing victory with 40.83% of the votes. The Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) followed with 22.15%, and the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) with 17.59%.

“Kosovo voted! Kosovo inspires!” Berisha declared, extending his congratulations to the citizens, political parties, and election organizers. “The voting process, administration, and result announcement were an inspiring model of democracy,” he added.

Berisha also congratulated LVV as the winning party, acknowledging the democratic process that honored the right to vote.
