Kosovo’s President Vjosa Osmani met with European Council President Antonio Costa at the Munich Security Conference, calling for the European Union to lift its measures against Kosovo and open the path toward candidate status.

Osmani emphasized Kosovo’s commitment to European values and the significant progress made toward EU integration. She urged the EU to acknowledge these advancements by removing what she described as “unjust measures” and accelerating Kosovo’s candidacy process.

“Our people have demonstrated unwavering commitment to European values and taken meaningful steps on the path to integration. It is time for the EU to recognize this progress,” Osmani stated.

The call for action comes amid ongoing discussions about Kosovo’s European future and the need for greater EU support.
