The counting process for the parliamentary elections held on February 9th has been completed at the Center for Counting and Results.

The process, which was expected to be finished by 7:00 PM on Wednesday, ended with a two-hour delay.

The delay was caused by a ballot box that could not be counted due to issues with the system.

This was confirmed by Valir Elezi, Spokesperson for the Central Election Commission (CEC).

Full Announcement:

“We inform you that at 9:00 PM, the counting process of more than 15,500 ballots from the conditional voting and voting by persons with special needs was completed. These were the final ballots to be counted as part of the electoral process for the Kosovo Assembly elections held on February 9, 2025.

According to Article 105 of the Law on General Elections, the CEC is required to wait at least 48 hours before declaring the final results of the Kosovo Assembly elections.

This article provides the possibility for complaints regarding the management of the counting process to be submitted to the Election Complaints and Appeals Panel (PZAP) within 48 hours from the occurrence of the alleged violation.

Today is the last day that the counting process is being administrated at the Counting and Results Center (QNR), so this 48-hour period starts from today, March 5, 2025, at 9:00 PM.”
