The President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, awarded Michael Roth, the current Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee in the German Bundestag and former minister, the Presidential Medal of Merit, a symbol of gratitude from the people of Kosovo.
He said that Kosovo belongs to Europe and Europe belongs to Kosovo.
Among other things, Roth thanked Osmani for the medal.
“Thank you for this recognition of my modest commitment to a free, democratic Kosovo in the heart of Europe, honorable President Vjosa Osmani, and dear Ambassador Faruk Ajeti!” he wrote.
“Kosovo belongs to us. And Europe belongs to Kosovo. A free, democratic, and independent Kosovo in the heart of Europe is in our strategic interest. Dear citizens of Kosovo, you can count on me! Friends will be friends,” he wrote.
