Less than 30% of Americans want to join Greenland, according to a Fox News poll.
Meanwhile, 85% of Greenlanders are opposed to the territory being taken by the U.S.
Since taking office earlier this year, U.S. President Donald Trump has repeatedly stated plans for the U.S. to acquire the Danish territory.
Vice President JD Vance is currently visiting U.S. troops in Greenland, telling them that Denmark “hasn’t done a good job for the people of Greenland.”
Vance added that Greenland would be better off “under the security umbrella of the United States than under the security umbrella of Denmark.”
