A protest march titled “Violence Campaign Must End!” will be held tonight in Belgrade in support of the academic community, following an increase in threats, verbal assaults, and physical attacks on its members. This protest comes a day after Dean Natalija Jovanović of the Faculty of Philosophy at Niš University was stabbed and injured during a protest in Niš.
The protest is organized by the Rebellious University, the Free University in Novi Sad, the Free University in Niš, and the Free University in Kragujevac.
The gathering will take place in front of the Rectorate at the Students’ Square, starting at 6:45 PM, with the protest march beginning at 7:00 PM. The procession will proceed through Vasin Street, Kolarceva, King Milan Street, Resavska, and Nemanjina Streets, culminating at the Republic Public Prosecutor’s Office.
