The Minister for Communities and Return in the Kosovo Technical Government, Nenad Rašić, believes that the explosion at the post office in Zveçan was carried out by destructive elements with political motives, aiming to maintain tensions in the northern part of the country.
“There have been previous instances where such incidents were organized intentionally to continue the narrative against the integration of the north,” said Rašić to RTV Kim.
He emphasized that several factors support such actions and that the withdrawal of Serbs from institutions, particularly from the police more than two years ago, has created an institutional vacuum.
“If we had police officials according to the demographic structure, as required by law, these acts would be rarer. We would have local community members who could better lead investigations,” he added.
When asked whether the explosion was a reaction to the closure of the Serbian Postal Bank and the opening of Kosovo Post, Rašić said that this idea was absurd.
“It is impossible to believe that an ordinary citizen would react by throwing bombs. This is an organized act, not something spontaneous by a dissatisfied individual,” emphasized Rašić.
