The Special Envoy of U.S. President Donald Trump for Special Missions, Richard Grenell, firmly declared with a “no” that he would not accept the position of U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, as reported by Newsmax and Gazeta Sinjali.

“I am a ‘hard no’ on this. This is not something I want to do. I have plenty of other things to do. President Trump has assigned me other tasks,” he stated.

He further added that the role of Ambassador was not something he would have wanted to take on.

“It’s not a place I want to go. I’ve been there. I care a lot about the UN, actually. But, you know, Elise Stefanik… let’s just say she would have been wonderful. She’s smart and passionate about global issues. I think she would have been extraordinary,” Grenell said.
