Following the announcement of a 10% tariff on all imports from countries that impose taxes on American products, Musk has called for the removal of these measures, especially for trade between the U.S. and the European Union.
This request was made during a virtual congress in Florence, according to a report from Reuters.
Musk emphasized that the impact of these tariffs on Tesla is significant, calling it “important” for his company. Economists have warned that these tariffs could lead to higher inflation and increase costs for every American family, making them pay more for imported products.
They also caution that these measures could contribute to a potential recession in the U.S.
